This is a special piece inspired by my hikes in the Pacific Northwest. We came across an old trestle that is said to have had a boxcar fall off it in this very canyon. The other side of this story is that the red rocks (that contain iron hematite and clay) I harvested nearby and created my own watercolor paint from this very same region and used it to render the canyon walls. Also featured here is my mixed-media influence of experiemnting with water-soluble Oil Wax Pastel and scraping effects while playing with opacity and luminance through transparent and opaque watercolors to create vivid tangible texture. Framing upon request at cost.
